A Couple Projects from the Attic

While backing up files to my fancy new hard drive (loving eSATA, by the way) I ended up going through some old projects in a folder labeled, "archive." I was curious if any of the sites were still up and, finding that a couple were, I've decided to post the links here—partly because I still don't really have a portfolio page on this website!

Trico Excavating

This is a simple Flash animation I did for an excavation company. I started with nothing but an image of a tractor and turned it into this quick animation. As you can see, this is from back in the day when Flash intros were still considered acceptable on company websites and I'm surprised it's still up!

I remember having fun writing the actionscript for the tractor tread.

Colors News

I built this multilingual content management system from scratch for a language training and translation company called Colors-Network. Their needs were quite specific and the other multilingual CMSs at the time didn't do the trick. This custom implementation has all the basic content management and an intuitive interface for adding multiple translations of the same article. They provided a mockup to work from but I definitely had a hand in a lot of the design as well.

I also dug up some "idea sketches" and I'll try to post them here in the next few days.
